The DS9490R adapter is a USB bridge with an RJ11 interface for connecting 1-Wire devices. It allows connection of up to 100 DS18B20 temperature sensors on a single bus with a maximum cable length of 100 meters.
Applications
- Temperature measurement in boiler rooms, storage tanks, pools
- Temperature monitoring in server rooms and data centers
- Temperature mapping for underfloor heating
- Outdoor and indoor temperature measurement

RJ11 Wiring Diagram

| Pin | Signal | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | VDD | 5V DC output |
| 2 | GND | Power ground |
| 3 | OW | 1-Wire data |
| 4 | GND_OW | 1-Wire ground |

Sensor Connection

To connect DS18B20 sensors to the RJ11 connector, use 3 wires:
- VCC (red) → Pin 1 (VDD)
- GND (green) → Pin 2 or 4
- DATA (white/yellow) → Pin 3 (OW)
Note: For distances over 10 meters, we recommend using shielded cable (e.g., FTP Cat5) and adding a 4.7kΩ pull-up resistor between VDD and DATA.
Compatibility
The adapter is directly supported in TapHome Core from version 2023.2. After connecting to the USB port of the control unit, all connected 1-Wire sensors are automatically detected.
